1. Initial Notifications

Acceptance Notification: We have sent an email to your personal email address informing you that you have been accepted into the program.

Domain Password: We have sent you an SMS with your domain password. You are now ready to start the installation.

2. Special Yandex Browser Installation

Gini Talent runs task management for content providers, compilers, and editors through the Yandex Yang work tool. This platform is fully compatible only with a specific version of the Yandex browser.

Using a different browser may cause technical issues when viewing or performing tasks. In such cases, the system may ask you questions regarding the version of the browser you're using.

Therefore, it is highly recommended to use the suggested Yandex browser version to perform tasks smoothly on the Yang platform.

2.1 Uninstalling the Current Yandex Browser

Windows:
- Uninstall Yandex Browser.
- After the uninstallation is complete, delete all contents in:
  C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Yandex
Mac:
- Close Yandex Browser windows.
- In Apple Finder, go to the "Go" menu → "Applications," or use the shortcut Shift + ⌘ + A in Finder.
- Drag the Yandex icon to the Trash and then empty the Trash.

2.2 Downloading the Special Yandex Browser

Download the version suitable for your operating system from the links below:

Windows:
- For Windows x64
- For Windows x86 (for 32-bit processors)
Linux:
- For Linux (Yandex.rpm)
- For Linux (Yandex.deb)
MacOS:
- For Intel
- For Mac with M1/M2/M3 chips

To learn the processor model of your computer:
Click the Apple icon → “About This Mac” → Check the “Chip” or “Processor” section.

Note: After completing the installation, you can watch a video on how to change the browser language from Russian to English.

2.3 Browser Settings and Updates

After the special Yandex browser is installed, type browser://help/ in the address bar and follow the relevant link to check for updates. This process will ensure that your browser is updated to the latest version.

If the update does not occur, you may need to enable automatic updates. To enable automatic updates, follow these steps:

Click on the three horizontal bars in the upper-right corner and open the Settings menu.
Click on the Advanced tab.
In the performance settings, activate the required option.

After making this adjustment, Yandex Browser will continue to update automatically based on the scheduling in the system scheduler.

2.4 Editing Security Settings
Yandex blocks certain content by default. To disable this feature:
Go to browser://settings.

In the "Settings" tab, uncheck the two boxes.

In the "Security" tab, uncheck the first box.

2.5 Disabling the "Yandex Access" Extension

If this extension is enabled in your browser, you need to disable it to prevent it from changing your region.

Go to Settings → Extensions.

In the Other Sources section, disable the Yandex Access extension.

Note: If there are multiple users in the browser, it must be disabled for each one separately.

3. Platform Login
This section explains step by step how to log in to the Yandex Yang platform. You can access the system using your user credentials and security verifications, and complete the necessary setups and settings before starting your tasks.

Step 3.1: Login Start

Using your special Yandex browser, go to https://passport.yandex-team.ru/.
Enter your username from the email you received and the domain password sent via SMS.

Step 3.2: Phone Verification

In the window that opens for phone number verification, click the "Confirm" button.
Enter the code received via SMS on your phone into the relevant field.

Step 3.3: QR Code and Two-Factor Authentication

When you reach the page with the QR code, first save and store the image of this QR code; it will be useful in case you lose your password. After this step, you will continue the process on your mobile phone. Please do not close this page.
Yandex Key Application: Download the Yandex Key application to your mobile phone from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app will provide two-factor security when logging into your account.

Open the Yandex Key application you downloaded to your mobile phone and tap the "Add Account" button.
On the screen that opens, tap the "Scan QR code" button and scan the QR code displayed on the Yandex browser screen on your computer. Your one-time password will appear on the screen. From now on, whenever you log in to the Yang platform, you will need to open the Yandex Key app and enter the one-time password displayed on your screen after entering your username and password.
At this point, you will continue the process on your computer again. Return to the computer screen; click the "Next" button and enter the one-time password displayed on your mobile phone.

Step 3.4: Password Change and Account Authorization

On your first successful login, the system will ask you to change the domain password sent via SMS. Enter your current password, then type your new password in the two separate fields.

New password requirements:

Minimum 14 characters
Must include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
Must not contain repeating or consecutive numbers.

After setting your new password, the authorization process will be complete.

4. Yandex Yang Task Start Steps
This section covers the basic steps you need to complete before you start taking tasks on the platform. Settings such as completing training tasks, language and content preferences will ensure that the appropriate tasks are assigned to you.

Step 1:Yandex Passport Login
Log in to Yandex Passport using your secret key and domain password.

Step 2:Phone Number Verification
After logging in, go to the contact information section (Staff button).Check if your registered phone number is correct. If it is incorrect, update it.
Please add your Telegram account to your work contacts section on Staff (in case you don't have any, please create it).


Step 3:Login tu the Yang Homepage
Site: https://yang.yandex-team.ru/tr (It would be helpful to add this address to your bookmarks.)
On your first login, you will see the "Welcome to Yandex Yang" message.
Click the 'Get to Know Yandex Yang' button.

Step 4:Language and Task Settings
Your access to tasks depends on the languages you have selected. For example, if you add the English language, you will have access to English tasks.
If you know other languages, feel free to add them to the list.
Only check the '18+' box if you're willing to work on tasks containing adult content.
Important Notes
VPN usage is prohibited. If detected, your account may be suspended.
Regularly check your Yandex email: https://mail.yandex-team.ru/
If possible, use a personal computer. Working with multiple accounts on the same device is risky.
Only log in using the special Yandex browser. Other browsers may display tasks incorrectly.
Make sure you check Telegram regularly because most of the work communication will be done via Telegram.

5. Test and Security
Tests: The tests applied to each task group will determine whether tasks will be assigned to you. Answer the test questions carefully, without rushing.
Analyzing your mistakes and avoiding repeating them will directly affect your quality score and the number of tasks you receive in the future.
Yandex Email: On each login, you must also check your Yandex email account, where official announcements and updates are sent. It would be helpful to add https://mail.yandex-team.ru/ to your bookmarks.
Device Usage: Whenever possible, use your personal computer. Sharing the same device with multiple users can cause security vulnerabilities.
For example, if multiple people are working in the same household, each user should use a separate computer.
Browser: Complete your tasks only through the special Yandex version. Using different browsers may cause issues in the system.
6. Important Reminders
For the security of your working environment, it is essential to follow all the steps outlined in this guide carefully. Full compliance with company policies is crucial for the smooth execution of processes.
Please ensure that you add your Telegram account to the “Work Contact Information” section on the Staff platform. If you do not already have an account, you are required to create one. As the majority of work-related communication is conducted via Telegram, it is important that you check the platform regularly.
Make sure you have thoroughly reviewed the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) included in your contract and that you fully understand your responsibilities under it.

Additional Information: Office Files
In some cases, Office files (e.g., DOC, PDF, PPT, etc.) may automatically open in the browser at the top of the evaluation interface. This may negatively affect user experience and make the evaluation process more difficult.
To prevent such files from opening directly in the browser, it is recommended to update your browser settings to ensure that files are only downloaded to your computer.
You can follow these steps:
Go to browser settings.
Open the "Downloaded Files" section or quickly find the related option by typing [office] in the settings search bar.
Enable the option to prevent Office files from automatically opening in the browser.
This setting will ensure that Office files are only downloaded to your device, helping you maintain the layout of your task screen and work more efficiently.
